FAQs
When will my order arrive?
In stock items will be posted within 24 hours (except Sundays) using Evri’s 24 hour service.
Custom “build your own” orders will take about 3 weeks (the process is long: throwing/handbuilding the piece, trimming to perfect, drying for a a week or two, first firing, glazing, second firing, off to it’ new home).
Will you gift wrap and package my piece?
Yes! I will wrap your order beautifully in tissue paper and ribbons and package it with care in a double walled box.
If you’d like me to include a gift note, please do ask.
How do I care for my piece?
All my glazes are 'food safe’, microwave and dishwasher safe (that said, you might choose to handwash as high temperatures and chemicals can weaken your pottery over time)
Will my custom order be made to my exact specifications?
Yes and sort-of!
Yes, I will follow your design specifications and aim to bring your vision to life and create something you will adore.
However, everything I make is by hand on the pottery wheel so your piece will be unique, one-of-a-kind and may vary slightly in size, shape and finish. Your pottery piece is not made in a factory so there may be a warp here or an odd glaze spot there.
What is your returns policy?
If you are not happy with your order or it is damaged on arrival, please contact me straight away at nea@ceramicsbynea.com for a full refund or a replacement.
Custom “build your own” orders are non-returnable unless there is an issue with the piece. This is because the pieces are tailored to your design and cannot be sold again.

Nadine Abell, Ceramicist
Hello! I'm Nadine and I create wheelthrown, handmade ceramics—lots of custom mugs and bowls—crafted with so much love for pottery and all things clay in my studio in London.
My love for ceramics came about whilst I was a practising therapist looking for something to relieve some of the pressures of that work.
I now straddle the two careers and have found that ceramics gives me space to slow down, to feel grounded, and to create something tangible and real with my hands—something I hope will in turn bring joy and happiness to you.
I love to take my customers' visions and designs for pottery and bring it to life in a mug, a bowl or a pot.
Thank you so much for being here and supporting a small handmade craft business.
